Everyone has a book inside them, which is exactly where it should, I think, in most cases, remain.”
Christopher Hitchens
I understand that it’s a big leap to write a book from writing articles and my blog. I have a book inside me, I have several in fact. I am sure of it. Should they remain inside me? Reading this quote from Christopher Hitchens dissuaded me for a moment. Then I came across this one which guided me back to my path.
“Whenever you are fed up with life, start writing: ink is the great cure for all human ills, as I have found out long ago.”
C S Lewis
I thought I should start by taking a look at my motivation for writing a book. I have always said that if I write a book I am writing it for myself. If anyone buys a copy it’s a bonus. I’m not seeking fame or fortune. This is self indulgence I suppose. Yes it may help some people, educate some people, some might even find it interesting…..
